Jewish Child’s Day is forging closer links with Belarus following a three-day visit to Minsk and Gomel by JCD executive director Daniel Burger.

Mr Burger’s trip, during which he met Jewish leaders, followed the charity’s funding help for the Jewish cultural centre in Minsk.

He also discussed the possibility of future financial commitment with Michael Kemerov, executive director of the World Union for Progressive Judaism. “It was clear that the Belarus Jewish community needs the help and support of JCD.”
