Rabbi Dr Moshe Freedman told his induction ceremony at the New West End Synagogue that it was "a pleasure to work alongside a strong lay leadership who know how to balance professionalism with congeniality and humour. It is also wonderful to be the rabbi of such an engaged and intelligent community."
The minister and the central London congregation were well matched, Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis observed. "There is warmth, there is a welcoming atmosphere and there is a full programme of activity. Rabbi Freedman is taking a key personal interest in all of these activities and taking the community forward through them."
