Hairdresser a cut above the rest

articlemain

A former JFS girl is cutting quite a dash in the hairdressing world by winning a competition for young stylists.

Sarah Marks, 17, triumphed in the Central & Joshua Galvin Photographic Awards for creating the perfect "prom" look on her friend and model Abi Yentis.

She beat more than 400 hopefuls to take home two trophies.

A junior at Hair on Broadway's Whetstone branch, she was urged to enter by her boss and never thought she would win. "I'd never done anything like it before but it was amazing."

Sarah hopes to one day work on hair at film sets or photo shoots. "I'd love to style Cheryl Cole's hair," she said. "That would be incredible."
