Glasgow's celebration was kicked off by a blast from the shofar from Rabbi Danny Bergson, whose musical skills saved the day last year when the volcanic ash cloud prevented the scheduled Israeli performers from travelling.
There were no such problems this time as Arba Orachim sang a selection of old favourites for the crowd of 300 at Glasgow Maccabi. The group also led an enthusiastic dance session.
Maccabi organised the event along with Glasgow Zionist Federation, UJIA and JNF-KKL Scotland.
