articlemain

David Goodman has been confirmed as the permanent chief executive of JNF UK.

He joined the charity last October from the Office of the Chief Rabbi, taking on the role in an acting capacity.

Mr Goodman, who previously worked at Kisharon and served in the IDF for more than 12 years, said: "I have always believed in the JNF's mission of developing the land of Israel and supporting its people. There is a huge amount of exciting work ahead, forging partnerships through JNF between local communities in the UK and the pioneering Zionist work being done in Israel."

Samuel Hayek, JNF chairman, said: "David has made a significant contribution since he joined and I look forward to seeing him driving JNF forward."

JNF has also appointed former British Friends of Shaare Zedek chair Margaret Rothem and Conservative Friends of Israel board member Gary Mond to its board of trustees.
