Six Jewish school pupils were injured in a road accident in Hexham.

They were among 14 boys from Gateshead Jewish Boarding School whose minibus was involved in a crash with a lorry and a Renault Megane on the A69, near Haydon Bridge, last Friday.

The boys were taken to Newcastle General Hospital with minor injuries and were released later in the day.

The driver sustained leg injuries and his condition was reported as stable. The drivers of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries.
