FZY voters select new look for centenary

articlemain

Federation of Zionist Youth members went to the polls to choose a new movement logo to mark FZY’s 100th anniversary.

Over 400 votes were cast online, or through Facebook and Twitter. The winning design reflects the landmark anniversary, with an accom-panying tagline: “One movement, one family, 100 years”.

Reports FZY director Jack Prevezer, “the movement that produced Israel’s first UN Ambassador, Abba Eban, and Chaim Herzog, Israel’s sixth president, is currently enjoying its most successful decade, taking more than 4,500 Jewish teenagers to Israel on short and long-term programmes since 2000.”

Annversary events include a grand reunion in November and a community gala dinner in April. A website — www.fzy.org.uk/fzy100 — has been set up for past members to register interest in the celebratory programme.
