The rabbi of the Hendon Adath Yisroel Synagogue is retiring in January after nearly 50 years at its head.
Members have been told that a search committee has been set up to find a successor to Rabbi Pinchas Roberts, a member of the presiding rabbinate of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations.
