Businessman and philanthropist Jonathan Faith was among those advising on how to survive the credit crunch at an open meeting organised by North Hendon Adath Yisroel Synagogue on Sunday.
Mr Faith suggested that employees did all in their power to make themselves indispensable to their bosses. Business owners should ensure that those on the payroll were the best suited for their positions.
Investment manager Simon Benarroch felt it would be prudent to set money aside for long-term savings.
Audience questions included whether now was a good time to get into the property market.
