Elstree goes surveying

articlemain

Borehamwood and Elstree Synagogue is undertaking a far-reaching survey of its 1,300-plus member families, targeting every age demographic.

Led by the shul's strategic planning group, it began on the shul premises over Rosh Hashanah, with teaser banners bearing slogans such as: "If our community won the lottery, how should we spend it?"

On Yom Kippur, members will be asked to donate their "thoughts", as well as their Kol Nidre contributions.

Strategic planning group chairman Richard Kafton said there was "genuine commitment" to act on the feedback and "to shape the future vision of the community as a five-year plan".
