Eco friendly caring

articlemain

Liverpool Wavertree Labour MP Luciana Berger took a particular interest in the eco credentials of Jewish Care's Golders Green campus when she toured the premises.

The shadow minister for energy and climate change was escorted by Jewish care chief executive Simon Morris and the charity's property director, Jeff Andrews.

Mr Andrews highlighted the intelligent building management systems installed to ensure the campus adhered as closely as possible to "green" building standards.

"I am impressed by all the innovative measures that have been incorporated," Ms Berger said. "The organisation has clearly gone to considerable lengths to ensure maximum energy efficiency and to minimise its environmental impact, including reducing waste, promoting recycling and installing a biomass boiler."
