articlemain

Batmitzvah Girls held a Sunday brunch raising over £1,000 for Chai.

The youngsters, Allie Bohm, Amalya Millan, Isabella Becker, Katy Denby and Sofia Forman invited 40 of their school friends to a Sunday morning brunch to raise money for Chai's support services.

The Hertsmere Jewish Primary School pupils, aged 11-12 prepared, cooked and served food and drinks to their friends and also held a raffle with prizes donated from the local community.

Lynsey Becker, Isabella's mother, said: "Chai Cancer Care is a charity very close to the girls' hearts. They were up late on Saturday night preparing all the food themselves.

"They are best friends and wanted to do something together to celebrate their batmitzvah."
