Donisthorpe chief starts work

articlemain

Andrew Thornton started work on Monday as chief executive of Leeds residential home Donisthorpe Hall.

Mr Thornton, 50 - who has previously served private and public healthcare organisations - looked forward "to working for an organisation with such a high reputation. I will do everything in my power to lead the home to even greater heights."

Donisthorpe has been without a CEO for six months, following the retirement of Carol Whitehead for personal reasons. Vice-chair Jonathan Grant thanked the senior management team for running the home during the interim.

The 240 staff care for 182 residents.
