Synagogues will not be able to offer communal meals in their succah this year because of social distancing rules - and families will not be able to entertain guests if there are more than six people.
But a young Londoner has found a way to help some people offer or enjoy succah hospitality.
Yehuda Simon’s NW SukkahMatcher aims to match people in North-West London looking for a succah to eat in with hosts who have space in their tabernacle while complying with the rule of six.
In his day job, Mr Simon works for a digital staffing platform, that finds positions for teachers, optometrists and pharmacists.
He has also set up a digital shidduch service, Zoom with Whom.
“I enjoy connecting people and noticed an opportunity to help people perform the mitzvah of eating in the succah, especially this year where there are fewer people able to host safely in line with covid regulations,” he explained. “We confirm that people haven't been abroad within the past 14 days."
