World Jewish Relief hopes to boost its overseas aid through the donation of leftover foreign currency by those returning from summer holidays.

Fundraising director Paul Stein said WJR would even accept currencies no longer in circulation such as francs and lire. The charity is organising drop-off points in north-west London.
