Philanthropist and entrepreneur Bradley Reback married solicitor Stuart Lawrence in the first male gay wedding under Finchley Progressive Synagogue auspices since the 2013 law change enabling same-sex marriages.
The 150 guests at the wedding, held at the couple's home, were entertained by actor and comedian Julian Clary, who made the simchah the unofficial final night of a three-month national tour.
"They're a fantastic couple," said Finchley Progressive's Rabbi Rebecca Qassim Birk, who officiated. "They are wholly committed to each other and full of the appreciation of what the chuppah means. I find that very moving."
