The unveiling of a children's memorial at Glasgow's Sandymount cemetery on Sunday was the culmination of seven years of effort.

A simple Star of David mosaic, it commemorates 760 Jewish children who were buried at Sandymount in unmarked graves between 1905-1938.

Glasgow City Council representatives were among the 40 people at the ceremony, at which Rev Aharon Soudry officiated.

Stanley Coorsh, trustees' chair of the Sandymount regeneration project, said: "Our main objectives have now been reached and we're really delighted at the support we've received."
