Cardiff United Synagogue has looked to youth to fill its ministerial vacancy.

The appointment of Rabbi Michoel Rose, 25, was approved by more than 50 members at an EGM and he will take up his duties next month.

Born in Leeds, he lives in Manchester, where he combines yeshivah teaching with studying for an engineering degree at Bolton University.

He has also directed a youth programme in Glasgow and worked with communities in Birmingham, Budapest and New Jersey.
