Cambridge builds to a better future

Beth Shalom Reform in Cambridge has celebrated the first Shabbat in its new £2 million home.

Chairman Mike Frankl highlighted the many potential uses for the building, which incorporates environmentally sustainable features such as low-energy lighting and solar panels on the roof to generate electricity.

Beth Shalom has a membership of more than 200 families. It welcomes Cambridge University students, and its cheder educates more than 70 children and 30 adults.
