North Wales' last surviving synagogue, Llandudno, now has a burial ground at Llanrhos cemetery on the outskirts of the town.
It stems from the efforts of Bernard Blank, an active member of the synagogue, who persuaded Conwy County Borough Council to make a plot available at the cemetery.
More than 20 community members attended a dedication ceremony on Sunday, conducted by Rabbi Brian Fox of Manchester's Cheshire Reform Synagogue.
"A cemetery is a cornerstone of Jewish community life," he said. "May we learn of the meaning of living from this place."
