Ofsted inspectors have marked the Brodetsky Jewish Primary in Leeds as a "good" school in a new report.
After a visit last month, the inspectors concluded that pupils left the school with above average standards in reading, writing and maths and that the quality of teaching was good across all key stages.
They added that the head and deputy head were providing "clear, determined leadership" and that pupils were "well behaved in lessons and around school".
The report noted that Brodetsky could not yet be considered outstanding because pupils' progress was not well above average, they were not sufficiently challenged in reading and writing and because there was too much variation in marking and feedback.
Brodetsky governors chair Dr Jason Broch said that "whenever I visit the school, there is always a buzz and I am constantly impressed with pupil behaviour.

"So it is of no surprise that the inspectors not only saw this, but commented that 'pupils of different age groups mix well and take care of one another'."
