Christie’s senior director and auctioneer Anke Adler-Slottke is a key acquisition for the Tel Aviv Foundation UK as it marks the Tel Aviv centenary.
Ms Adler-Slottke — who also serves on the board of the British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel — will chair a new and expanded committee.
For over 30 years, the foundation has assisted underprivileged residents of the city through projects tailored to improve education, social services and the environment. With the help of supporters worldwide, more than 300 projects have improved citizens’ quality of life.
The UK arm is also taking a centennial mission to Tel Aviv this month — 100 hours to celebrate 100 years — designed to show supporters the impact their projects have made.
Ms Adler-Slottke is “committed to the inspiring work that the foundation tirelessly provides for the Tel Aviv-Jaffa community in all its diversity”.
UK board members are Shai Carmel, Neil Davis, Michael Gee, Michael Geiger, Doreen Gerson, Howard Goulden, Allan Morgenthau, Simon Ross, Gail Seal and Lisette Stalbow.
