The Nightingale care home in south London has a £75,000 target for its Rosh Hashanah appeal to help bridge the "significant gap between providing exceptional care and funding received".
Nightingale recently opened a state-of-the-art dementia facility, the Wohl Wing, and is conducting a wide-ranging dementia care training programme.
Chief executive Leon Smith stressed that "the care we provide to our residents is paramount and our standards will not be compromised. It is, therefore, vital that the funding we receive from local authorities is supplemented, and this cannot be done without donors' generosity."
