RSY-Netzer has enjoyed its most successful summer programme with over 700 young people participating in activities including Shemesh camps and an Israel tour.

“We are delighted we have been able to involve so many people in a Jewish experience which will stay with them forever,” said RSY-Netzer secretary Daniel Lichman.

In the difficult financial climate, applications for bursaries rose by almost half and an appeal raised £13,000-plus towards financial assistance for 83 participants.

Reform movement chair Stephen Moss said the summer groups included “our community leaders of the future. We must invest in them now. We consider these experiences a key part of strengthening Jewish identity.”
