A dog’s life is profitable for Maccabi

articlemain

"Fifty dogs and not a single fight" was the proud boast of Valerie Herman, organiser of Maccabi GB's first Community Dog Walk fundraiser on Sunday.

Dogs of every shape, size and breed completed laps of Mill Hill Park for an hour before being brought together by their owners for a "cutest dog" competition. This was judged by Israeli Kfir Segev, partner and head clinician at the Medivet surgery in Stanmore, and Hina Patel, manager of the Mill Hill veterinary nurse clinic Triage Pets. The two establishments sponsored the event and provided goody bags for all canine participants.

"Despite the poor weather conditions, there was a happy atmosphere," Ms Herman said. The £1,000 raised will benefit Maccabi GB's Challenge Project for young people with special needs.
