Children's entertainer Captain Calamity has set a new Guinness World Record for the most shaving foam pies thrown in one minute by a team of two.

The comedian, from north-west London, whose real name is Dov Citron, broke the previous record for pie throwing with his colleague Paul Megram, who uses the alias Colonel Custard.

Mr Megram threw a record breaking 72 pies at Mr Citron, an Edgware Synagogue attendee, from a distance of 1.5 metres.

An official from Guinness World Records oversaw the attempt and confirmed the duo had beaten the previous record which stood at 71 pies thrown over a one minute period.
