The video showed viewers how to remove an alleged tracking device planted by “the f***ing Jews” in Samsung smartphones.
A spokesperson for the commission said the trust “acted quickly when it was made aware of concerns about the content of a post on the charity’s Facebook page in late June.”
In a statement it added: “The regulator reviewed the post and concluded that material was completely inappropriate and raised serious regulatory concerns about the management and administration of the charity.
“After reporting the matter to the police, the commission contacted the charity’s trustees to request that they remove the post.
“After the post was removed the commission conducted a compliance visit to the charity on 22 July.”
Gideon Falter, chairman of the Campaign Against Antisemitism, said: “We commend the Charity Commission for taking the decision to launch a statutory inquiry into this serious misconduct and mismanagement by a trustee of the Ghulam Mustafa Trust.
“This step allows the Charity Commission to use the full extent of its powers, including removing and disqualifying the trustee, and that is what we hope the inquiry will decide is the appropriate measure in this matter.”
