Police have arrested a suspect in connection with an antisemitic incident on a busy London bus.
The 43-year-old man from Haringey, north London, was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence this afternoon.
The incident was reported last week by JC reporter Rosa Doherty who witnessed a man shout "get the Jews off the bus all they do is f*** us" on a packed 102 bus in Golders Green, which had Jewish school children on board.
He threatened to "burn the bus" and "the Jews" before getting off only to be let on for a second time by the driver.
The police were called but said they were unable to attend unless the driver stopped the bus. The driver refused.
Police questioned the suspect at Wood Green police station this afternoon.
They were able to identify him due to CCTV footage and a local police officer who recognised him.
Other witnesses have come forward following a police appeal earlier this week.
