Bomb plotter is jailed

A Nazi sympathiser has been jailed for 10 years for plotting to blow up mosques in Liverpool .

Ian Forman, 42, of Oxton, Birkenhead, who admitted to police that he had held extremist right-wing views, was sentenced for engaging in conduct in preparation of terrorist acts at Kingston Crown Court today .

A bomb squad was called to Forman's house after Merseyside Police raided his home and found a crude home-made explosive device as well as a replica Nazi uniform.

Speaking after Forman was sentenced, Detective Sergeant Matt Findell, of the North West Counter-Terrorism Unit, said: "Thankfully, we will never know how far Forman was prepared to go in acting out his racist fantasies.”
