The Board of Deputies of British Jews has expresses solidarity with the people of France following the terror attack in Lyon.
A man has been decapitated and others were injured at factory by terrorists carrying Islamist banners.
The attack happened at the headquarters of the American owned Air Products, in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, near the city of Lyon.
There are thought to have been several explosions after the terrorists ignited small “gas bombs” causing injuries to factory workers.
The Board said it has expressed its sadness to both the French embassy in London and to Le Crif, the French-Jewish community representative body.
Board senior vice president Richard Verber said: “We are appalled to see what seems to have been a terrible attack in France. But however brutal these attacks are, they serve only to reinforce the bonds of humanity of decent people the world over.”
