James Blunt has been criticised by thousands of fans for making what has been interpreted as a joke about Auschwitz.
The British singer and former soldier was in Poland for a concert when he was photographed in front of a building near the infamous Nazi death camp.
Mr Blunt, 37, posted the image on his public Facebook page with the caption "Uh, this is my hotel in Poland".
Unfortunately, more than 6,000 fans did not see the funny side and responded with comments criticising him.
Many, written in Polish, took offence at the implication the country did not have five star hotels for celebrities to stay in.
However, as one user noted: "People in Poland have totally lost their sense of humour."
