Hannah Frank, the celebrated Jewish artist, has died, aged 100.
Born in Glasgow in 1908, she graduated from Glasgow University in 1930 with an MA in Arts. She also spent time at the city’s famous art school. Hannah’s artistic career covered 75 years. She is known for her distinctive black-and-white drawings and her sensuous sculptures (left, her mask of her father, Charles Frank).
In August she celebrated her own centenary with an exhibition at Glasgow University Chapel.
Her funeral took place on Sunday (December 21) at Glasgow’s Cathcart
Cemetery.
