articlemain

Staff at a kosher delicatessen were held up at gunpoint during an armed robbery this morning.

Police were called to Noshers Smoked Salmon Company in Edgware, north west London, at around 8.45am after two men threatened them with a handgun and demanded money.

Firearms officers arrived at the scene but the men had already fled empty-handed after staff refused to hand over cash.

The man carrying the gun is described as black, 5ft 9in tall, stocky and wearing a blue hooded-jacket. He had a small moustache.

The second man is black, 6ft tall and clean-shaven. He was wearing a grey tracksuit. They ran away towards Manor Park Crescent.

No one was hurt in the robbery and Flying Squad officers are now investigating the incident.
