A dozen anti-Israel protesters interrupted a concert by 1980s punk bank The Fall in Camden on Tuesday evening.

The band, fronted by singer Mark E Smith, is set to perform in Tel Aviv in January 2010. Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) demonstrators calling for The Fall to boycott the date handed out leaflets outside of the Electric Ballroom venue.

On a Facebook page titled “Please don't play for Apartheid Israel” one of the protesters wrote: “The staff on the door at the Electric Ballroom were good.

“A couple of passers by questioned the effectiveness of boycott but weren't unpleasant.”
