Business owners need to remain motivated to get through these turbulent economics times, says management consultant Anthony Greenfield.
Leeds-based Mr Greenfield, a former consultant at Accenture, is a partner at Resolve, which helps organisations overcome challenges and improve their performance. He has published a book, The 5 Forces of Change, which explains how firms can effectively cope with change.
The management consultant has some advice for businesses. "The difference between the success or failure of organisational change lies in the way people are led through it," Mr Greenfield, 45, tells People. "There is a lot of change in the air at the moment - turbulent times are times of change and calls on strong leadership. If there is bad news, there is often a temptation to keep it under wraps, but organisations should be more open and honest."
Born in London, Mr Greenfield spent four years in South Africa where he worked for Accenture. He has been a consultant to Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Barclays and Northern Trust Bank in Chicago.
He says: "Writing the book was something I had always wanted to do. I have written stories for my children but never submitted them for publication."
The 5 Forces of Change (Management Books) is out today.
