Eighties pop sensation A-ha will perform in Israel for the first time this summer. 

They will perform at Tel Aviv’s Exhibition Grounds on June 21, as part of their 2018 Electric Summer tour.

The Norwegian band are most famous for their hit single Take On Me, the pencil-sketch video which won six awards and was nominated for two others at the 1986 MTV Video Music Awards.

Vocalist Morten Harket, who announced the band's Israel debut in a video on Facebook, said of the song in a recent Reuters interview: “For us you have to make peace with that song because it’s stronger than you in a way. It’s not going away.

"We played it to death... but the public don’t get sick of it somehow.”
