Houston, we have an anniversary… July 20 will mark 50 years since the Apollo 11 lunar landing and Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the Moon, with a series of celebrations in Houston.

Running throughout July, Space City Month will include NASA Tram Tours visiting the Apollo Mission Control Center at Space Center Houston, restored to how it originally looked in the 1960s, as well as pop-up science lab workshops for kids.

The city is also planning special events, with everything from themed cocktails in bars to hotel packages, such as at the Hyatt Regency Houston’s NASA-themed room, rocketship photobooth and NASA tickets.
