Libeskind goes Dutch

Four contemporary art works designed by Daniel Libeskind have gone on display in the Netherlands as The Garden of Earthly Worries in Paleis Het Loo at Apeldoorn.

The four abstract sculptures, each approximately three-metre tall fragments of a globe are designed to represent different chemical compounds contributing to our changing climate, and will be on display until mid-2021. The first contemporary art on display in the palace gardens, it’s around an hour from Amsterdam.

Eurostar is planning a third daily service to the city from June.

Cutting plastic waste in Asia

An Asia travel specialist has helped to cut the number of single use water bottles discarded in Asia by 21,000 over 18 months, as part of the One Bottle at a Time initiative.

Selective Asia has introduced portable water canisters in all client vehicles across Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, with additional destinations joining the initiative in an aim to double the number to 45,000 fewer bottles in 2019.

As well as the water canisters, the company is working with local partners to enable clients to refill the reusable bottles from water stations at partner hotels, as part of the project being carried out in partnership with two NGOs, Refill Not Landfill and the Exo Foundation, both of which are focused on water bottle waste reduction in Asia.
