Would-be visitors to Scotland can now take a virtual journey through the country, without leaving home, to whet their appetites further.

A new augmented reality (AR) app called Step into Scotland has been launched as part of the country’s Scotland is Now campaign, showcasing its landscapes, attractions and also locals revealing what they love about living and working in the country.

You could virtually drive the twisting North Cost 500 route on a motorbike, paramotor over Ben Nevis, discover the country’s whisky heritage or marvel at Edinburgh Castle, with the app available on both Android and Apple.
