Palestinian parliament member Mustafa Barghouti is calling for an international campaign pressuring Israel to stop using tear gas against civilians, following the death of Jawaher Abu Rahma. The Palestinians claim the woman died after inhaling large quantities of gas during Friday's anti-fence protest in Bilin.
Because, of course, tear gas is a military weapon never to be used on any one else but enemy soldiers.
Please note that Barghouti does not call for an international campaign to pressure all governments to stop using tear gas against violent demonstrators, just Israel. His argument thus fits the EU working definition of antisemitism.
The next request will be to pressure Israel not to use bananas because someone can walk on them and break a leg.
Why not call them "weapons of mass destruction" and call for the invasion of Israel?
Double standards are a sure sign of antisemitism, and Mustafa Barghouti is the first winner of the year. Others will follow.
