Jewish Studies Teacher and Informal Jewish Life Educator

Emanuel School, a pluralist Jewish School in Sydney, Australia is looking for a Jewish Studies and Informal Jewish Life Educator to create engaging learning experiences that bring Jewish ideas, culture and community to life for our students.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be a positive mentor and role model, helping inspire curiosity, connection and leadership both in and out of the classroom. Emanuel School welcomes Jewish Studies teachers from all streams of Judaism. It is important to us that each teacher respects and supports the Jewish diversity of our community and is comfortable teaching and exploring pluralist Jewish themes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

This full‑time temporary role begins in June 2026 for approximately a year, with the possibility of staying on longer. We are open to applicants from overseas who may need sponsorship.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and teaching qualifications, be at least eligible for accreditation with NESA and hold a current Working With Children Check.
