Yavneh, Rosh Pinah Green and HJPS win at Yr 5-6 event

Maccabi GB’s latest interschools sports tournament attracted a staggering 350 keen footballers. Sponsored by All Aboard, the Year 5 and 6 Boys Football tournament saw 17 schools send 43 teams, with the competition watched on from the sidelines by nearly 200 supporters.

Two competitions were held, with Yavneh Red beating Wolfson Hillel Red 3-0 to win the Red and Blue tournament, while there were joint-winners in the Green tournament, Rosh Pinah Green and HJPS Green coming out top in the Green tournament

Maccabi GB’s School and Sports Coordinator Nathan Bloohn said: “It was brilliant to see such a high-quality tournament with so many players and schools taking part.”
