Yavneh Primary were left celebrating at Maccabi GB’s latest inter-school sports tournament after they side emerged victorious at the organisation’s Year 3 and 4 Mixed Football event.
Sponsored by All Aboard, 13 different schools competed in the competition, which saw them field a combined 26 teams. The large turnout meant a total of 210 footballers took part, which ultimately resulted in Yavneh Red beating Mathilda Marks Red 1-0 in the final.
The day was watched by 125 spectators on the sidelines, with Maccabi GB’s School and Sports Coordinator Nathan Bloohn saying: “It was brilliant to see such a high-quality tournament with so many players and schools taking part.”
