Yavneh Red have won Maccabi GB’s latest school sports tournament, coming out on top of the Year 5 and 6 Girls’ football competition.
Sponsored by All Aboard Charity Shops, 31 teams from 16 schools took part in the event, which attracted a total of 250 players and a further 100 spectators.
Beating Sinai Red 3-0 in the final of the Red and Blue Tournament, Nathan Bloohn, School and Sports Coordinator at Maccabi GB, said: “It was fantastic to see such a high-quality tournament with so many players and schools taking part. The quality is increasing with every event that we hold, and the future is looking strong for Jewish sport.”
