Chair to the Labour Friends of Israel, Joan Ryan MP was a guest speaker at Southgate Progressive Synagogue. Following a brief history of her pre-political life as a teacher and a freelance interviewer for the Imperial War Museum’s oral history archives, Ms Ryan spoke about her deeply held Labour values and her connection with Israel and the Jewish peoplel. Ms Ryan then took part in a Q&A with the 60-strong audience.
