Some £450 was raised when close to 100 men, wives and kids shmoozed with their friends at the celebrated Southend and Westcliff Hebrew Congregation's Lag b`Omer 110th annual community gourmet barbecue. The guests, who enjoyed the culinary skills of master chef David Baker, joined in with several traditional live songs; and a young professionals kick-ball game. Long-serving Gabbai Stanley Robinsion thanked everyone for making the family occasion such a joyous event.
