Sinai Red took the honours in the latest Maccabi GB Inter-school tournament staged, as they were crowned champions in the Year 5 Girls netball competition.
Sponsored by All Aboard Charity Shops, 14 teams from 11 different schools took part in the event, which saw Sinai Red claim the winners’ medal thanks to a 1-0 win in the final.
With a total of 125 players taking part, and being buoyed on from the sidelines by a further 50 spectators, Nathan Bloohn, School and Sports Coordinator at Maccabi GB, said: “It was fantastic to see such a high-quality tournament with so many players and schools taking part. The quality is increasing with every event that we hold, and the future is looking strong for Jewish sport.”
