Maccabi GB’s latest inter-school sports tournament went all the way to a nail-biting penalty shoot-out as Rosh Pinah finally came out on top to win the Year 3 and 4 mixed football tournament.
Sponsored by All Aboard, the competition saw a staggering 200 footballers in action, as they formed 28 teams from 14 different competing schools.
Rosh Pinah Red and Yavneh Red contested the final, which was played out in front of 100 supporters, and they got value for money as the sides played out a 2-2 draw, before Rosh Pinah won 4-3 on penalties.
Maccabi GB’s School and Sports Coordinator Nathan Bloohn said: “It was a fantastic tournament, with a remarkable display of skill, sportsmanship and passion on show.”
