Anyone looking to take part in a sporting competition over the next month or so need look no further as Maccabi GB have announced plans to hold two grassroots community events.

This coming Sunday sees the MGB Community Tennis take place, which is open to anyone of any age and ability. The doubles pairs tournament will be held indoors at a WD23 venue, where a minimum of three matches are guaranteed for each entree.

Then next month, on 14 December, sees the staging of the MGB Community 3x3 Basketball event, which will feature four different competitions – U14, U18, Open and Female events. The tournament will start with round-robin games and proceed to a knockout stage.

Jordan Sapler, Maccabi GB’s Head of Sport, Health and Wellbeing, said: “Maccabi GB are excited to be hosting two more grassroots community sports tournaments. Following on from the success of the 3x3 Basketball tournament earlier this year, we’re now running an even larger one! Our first Community Tennis Tournament already has very limited spaces, such is its popularity and I urge anyone interested in taking part to book up as soon as possible!”
