Sir Nicholas Hytner, former artistic director of the National Theatre, is to appear at a Limmud online event next month.
Limmud Together UK Summer on August 2 follows the success of its digital programme in spring which drew almost 3,000 participants from around the world.
Other speakers will include novelist Howard Jacobson, Countdown presenter and campaigner against antisemitism Rachel Riley, former Labour MP Luciana Berger and Britain’s ambassador to Ukraine, Melinda Simmons.
Organisers say that “with the unfortunate cancellation of summer camps and Israel trips, this second Together event is specifically tailored to fill the programming and social gap so that participants of all ages can continue their Jewish journeys”.
