Leeds Jewish Orthodox Youth’s own version of The Apprentice had an interviewer from the real thing, Linda Plant, to cast an expert eye over entrants.
Before an audience of almost 400 at the Reuben Vincent Hall, Ms Plant advised the young entrepreneurs that “ability to delegate is essential but treat your fellow workers well so you will earn their respect. Remember, in most businesses you can’t do it alone.”
She hailed the teams — which had spent five months on their projects — as “absolutely fantastic”, saying they had shown “an overwhelming display of talent, aptitude and confidence”.
The winning team comprised Amy Kessler, Marc Nason, Mia Nason, Marc Smith, Yasmin Smith and Xenia Towers. Their business venture involved selling bath bombs and oat bags.
Mia said they had been confident of the appeal of the products, testing having shown that “they were up to a high standard”.
